For Associations

The central goal of NAR's Community and Political Affairs division is to provide resources for you—the staff and leadership of state and local REALTOR® associations—so that you can increase your membership's involvement in their communities and the political process. Using the programs, publications, classes and grants outlined in this section, you can effectively engage REALTORS® in your community and demonstrate to them the value they receive as members of your association.

Like the division’s name indicates, these programs address two central components of making the connection to REALTORS® how political issues and community policies can affect their businesses. Our community programs help you help your members become experts on housing opportunity, smart growth and diversity. Our political programs let you lead your members into the fight to protect real estate issues legislatively, encouraging them to become their own advocates as part of the REALTOR® Party.

Download the 2016 REALTOR Party Association Resource Guide (884K PDF) or explore this section to discover the NAR programs that your local or state association can use to become legislative, community and political leaders in your community.

Feel free to contact the staff listed throughout the site or request information on a specific program. Our mission is to help you develop your members and your association to take the next step in accomplishing your legislative, political or advocacy goals.
