Community Outreach Classes
The National Association of REALTORS® Community Outreach Department offers three classes to help REALTORS® build their business, create better communities; develop partnerships; and become leaders in their communities. These classes will unlock new markets for your members’ businesses and expand their outreach in their local communities. The classes will teach your members how to find resources and partners; work and partner with community leaders and plan initiatives with partners to advance affordable housing opportunities and create vibrant communities. The classes are focused on our REALTOR® members but are also of interest to real estate professionals, non-profit organizations, lenders, local officials and others.
- Employer-Assisted Housing (EAH): Focuses on how to form a team to work with local employers to discuss employer-assisted housing, EAH’s benefits and three options (homebuyer and homeownership workshops, one-on-one counseling and financial assistance) employers can implement to help their employees become homeowners or afford a home close to work.
- Expanding Housing Opportunities (EHO): A four-hour course designed to educate real estate professional on the range of affordable housing opportunities and client seeking them. Contact Wendy Penn at wpenn@realtors.org/202-383-7504.
- Smart Growth for the 21st Century: Gives you the strategies you need including defining smart growth, exploring the demand for smart growth, and understanding the value of smart growth. Contact Hugh Morris at hmorris@realtors.org/202-383-1278.
