EAH Class Sponsor Responsibilities & Administration

The class must be taught by an authorized EAH Class instructor and the NAR-approved class materials must be used. Once the instructor is selected and the class date and location are set, the class notification form must be submitted to let NAR know about the upcoming class. Once the class notification form is submitted, you will be given access to a Web site to download the class materials. You will need to make copies of all of the materials for each student attending the class. After the class, you will need to send to NAR the class roster and evaluation form.

  • Find an Authorized Instructor: Check the list of authorized instructors to locate an instructor to teach the class.
  • Set a date and location for the class.
  • Apply for CE Credit (optional): Contact NAR to get a copy of the class outline and test, as well as any other materials needed to apply for CE credit.
  • Complete the Class Notification Form: A Class Notification Form must be submitted for each EAH class. We cannot process a class without a Class Notification Form.
  • Download the Class Materials: After you submit the class notification form, you will be given access to a Web page listing the class materials. Download and print a copy of the materials for each student.
  • Market and Promote the Class: Take advantage of the customizable flyer/ad as well as the press release template. These materials will be listed on the class materials Web site page noted above.
  • On the Day of the Class
    • Have all the class materials and evaluation forms for each attendee
    • Make sure the instructor has all that he/she needs such as a computer, projector, screen, etc. The instructor will need a DVD player, with audio, to play the DVD.
    • Distribute the Evaluation Forms to the Students.
    • Complete the Class Roster: Make sure to keep track of the attendees, especially REALTORS®, who attended the class.  The class will be noted in the REALTORS® NRDS record.
  • After the Class
    • Send a copy of the roster to NAR.  The roster will be available on the class materials Web page noted above.
    • Send  a copy of the class evaluation forms from each student to NAR. The forms will be available on the class materials Web page noted above.
  • Track REALTORS® Who Took the Class: You may also want to consider tracking which members contacted employers after the class and what was the result. Contact NAR for more information on this initiative.
  • Monitor the EAH Class Online Community:  After you become a sponsor, you will be invited to join the EAH Class Online Community for Instructors and Sponsors.  NAR will provide class news and updates via this community and you will be able to network with other sponsors and instructors.
