NAR’s Consumer Advocacy Outreach Program offers state and local associations, brokers and agents a comprehensive way to educate and engage consumers on homeownership-related public policy issues at the state, local and national levels through the HomeOwnershipMatters.Realtor website and the Consumer Advocacy Database.
The program:
- Offers consumers a comprehensive website, HomeOwnershipMatters.Realtor, which provides information on public policies affecting home ownership, private property rights, community building and the free enterprise system.
- Provides an electronic consumer advocacy information and resource library that state and local associations and brokers can use on their web sites (available early 2016).
- Grows the Consumer Advocacy Database and enlist consumer allies in NAR and REALTOR® Association advocacy efforts at the national, state and local levels.
HomeOwnershipMatters.Realtor
NAR sends messages to millions of consumers each month. When a consumer clicks on the message, they are directed to HomeOwnershipMatters.Realtor website, where they can learn more about important issues and take action in support of or against on issues affecting homeownership.
State and Local Associations
State and local REALTOR Associations may post consumer focused public policy content related to homeownership issues or community issues of consumer interest in their service area to the NAR consumer website HomeOwnershipMatters.Realtor. The content will appear on specific web pages by state name on the site. (Click on the News by State tab at Homeownershipmatters.Realtor to see examples of state and local content.)
To submit an article for posting on HomeOwnershipMatters.Realtor, please complete the information found at: http://www.realtoractioncenter.com/for-associations/consumers/content-submission/content-submission-for.html and click on submit.
